German Apple Fritters


  • 4 apples
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2-4 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional
  • butter or frying oil
  • powderd sugar


  • Core the apples. Then cut the apples into 3-5mm wide slices.
  • Mix flour, eggs and salt. Gradually add milk so that a smooth dough is formed.
  • Heat a large frying pan with clarified butter or frying oil.
  • Pull the apple slices through the dough, let the dough drip off briefly. Then fry in the hot fat until golden brown on both sides.
  • Serve hot with powdered sugar.
